Communication is complicated. It can also be daunting, and even frightening when important messages or outcomes are on the line. Often times when we are in the middle of a project like an organizational redesign or software implementation, it can be difficult to convey information. Our level of awareness and understanding is very deep, which can lead to forms of information bias, where how we communicate is impacted. We assume people have the same level of understanding that we do, and tend to communicate more like we are speaking to ourselves.
